Please note that we will not be running the camp on July 2nd (due to Canada
Day being on the previous Sunday) and on August 6th (due to the Civic holiday).
Albert College offers sessions of summer fun every year for local youth ages 7 to 14 years weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with extended care available. This well-supervised experience offers the options of Technology Discovery Camps, Sports Academy or Future Stars Drama Camp in addition to multi-sports, arts and crafts, and swimming. Daily lunch and snacks are provided.
Programs
CyberKids (ages 7-9)
This camp is a must for any budding computer enthusiast! Designed for young computer users, this fun-filled camp will teach computer-based activities in an engaging way. Campers will learn computer skills, Internet use, and experience intermediate applications such as PowerPoint. Campers will explore robotics and computers from the inside to see how they are built. To keep these young minds sharp, the fun continues with games & sports, and arts & craft activities.
AlberTech (ages 10-14)
This camp will foster an advanced level of technological experience in a fun and creative way. Campers will learn to use professional software including AdobePhotoshop and Dreamweaver. They will learn the basics of programming through Lego NXT Robotics and transfer those skills to making their own games in Adobe Flash! They will also learn how to make their own music and movies in our state of the art Mac Lab. Campers enjoy sports & games, as well as arts & craft activities in this activity-packed camp. This camp is for anyone who wants to become a computer whiz!
Sports Academy (ages 7-9 and 10-14)
Designed for the athlete as well as campers who want to stay active. Campers will develop confidence and skills as they play a variety of sports and games that build athletic abilities, teamwork, cooperation, and sportsmanship. Campers will also learn to make healthy choices and live an active lifestyle. Developing computer skills and working on arts and crafts will give campers time to rest before they are back in action with swimming, soccer, baseball, ball hockey, tennis, badminton, volleyball, anything! Let the games begin!
Future Stars Drama Camp (ages 7-9 and 10-14)
Designed for the drama king or queen, campers will experience the art of drama and theatre under the direction of our experienced counselors. Campers will learn about voice, movement, improvisation, and other acting techniques. The result will be the creation of a movie or theatre masterpiece from start to finish. Campers will also participate in arts and crafts, swimming and active games including a variety of sports. Lights, camera, action! Please Note: This camp selection is not suitable for one-week campers.
Fees
Two- Week Session:
$400 per child for each two-week session
$360 for two-week sessions that include a holiday
One-Week Session:
$240 per child for each one-week session
$200 for one-week sessions that include a holiday
Sibling discount - $40 for two-week sessions are available.
