The Albert College Senior Boys’ Soccer team claimed its second consecutive CISAA Division III Soccer Championship Friday. In claiming 1st place overall, Albert also completed its second consecutive season of undefeated league play by topping Rosseau Lake College 3-0 in the semi final and outlasting Appleby College 2-1 in an epic final.
Nigerian striker, Lotanna Eze, and German midfielder, Christoph Frey, led the Panthers offensively. Chardo Quinn of Bermuda and Mitchell Torres of Quinte West provided solid backfield play.
Albert College dominated its league opposition this season, scoring 44 goals while conceding only 11. With many starters returning next year for their senior season, Head Coach, Scott Mills is optimistic about the future. “We have a great core of players returning next year and I think we have an excellent chance to ‘3-peat’ next season.”
