Business Case Competition
On February 25, Ms. Baker accompanied eight students to Appleby College to participate in a Business Case Competition. The competition provided a great opportunity for eight students to apply their knowledge and compete with other schools. At the competition, students learned how to create a marketing plan and examine factors including sales forecasts, competition and understanding target markets. The day also included an engaging speech from the CEO of Walmart.
The Albert College students were separated into two teams and were given a case study on a fictitious Coffee Shop business called, "Beyond the Bean." Each team had three hours to create a marketing plan for the business and present to a panel of three judges in a 10-minute PowerPoint presentation. Congratulations to both teams for being strong competitors and representing Albert College well. The team of Aidan, Gaby, Sean and Jordan placed third out of thirteen teams and received a plaque of recognition. Way to go!
