Curling ROCKS at Albert College!

Students from Kindergarten through Grade 6 were treated to a hands-on introduction to the sport of curling as instructors from the Rocks and Rings program brought the curling rink to the Junior School gymnasium.  Unique, indoor, floor-curling equipment was used to provide a true curling experience, no ice required!

The day offered an opportunity to challenge both the body and the mind as students learned about strategy and technique, while participating in drills, relays and team-building activities.  Our Kindergarten students, who have been celebrating the Winter Olympics and cheering for our Canadian athletes, were especially excited and enjoyed testing their new skills during a competitive game at the end of their session.  From fine and gross motor skills to logic and strategy, it was a day of learning and growth for our Kindergarteners…and beyond!
