Grades 5 and 6 Students’ Overnight Adventure to Camp Kawartha

The Grades 5 and 6 classes excitedly participated in their annual camping trip to Camp Kawartha at the end of January. This trip connects to many aspects of the Grade 5 and 6 curriculum and provides students with valuable leadership opportunities and outdoor skills. Not afraid of the cold, the Grades 5 and 6 students tried new things and embraced the whole experience. Some favourite activities included building a solar Lego car, making a fire using flint and steel, a night campfire and playing the survival game in the woods.
