International Active Citizenship Trip to the Amazon Basin

During March Break, most students take time off to decompress from the school year. However, a group of 12 students from Albert College used March Break as an opportunity to work together to participate in phase one of a project to bring clean water to the Amazon Basin.

“The goal of this phase is to build the treatment plant that will carry clean water to a fountain to a school,” says Mrs. Guse. “This project is a process in which every brick and rock is important.”

While there, the students also visited the Cruzchicta community, where Albert College was in 2017, to see how the classroom built then is being used today.
