Athletics

Our athletes are coached by a dedicated group of staff and faculty members that are knowledgeable in their respective sports and tireless in their dedication and enthusiasm. Students are given the opportunity to play on a team, refine their skills, try new things and develop a healthy, active lifestyle.

Pre-K to Grade 6
At the Pre-Kindergarten level, athletics skills (physical literacy) are developed through use of their large outdoor space featuring a play structure, large sandbox, paved area for bikes, balls and riding toys. At the Junior School (Senior Kindergarten to Grade 6), students enjoy and have access to a gymnasium and outdoor play. Beginning in Grade 4, students become involved in competitive sports such as golf, cross-country, track and field, volleyball, basketball and soccer.
A Fresh Space
The renovation of the Albert College Senior School gymnasium began in June 2024. This ambitious project, driven by the urgent need for new flooring, was made possible by the incredible generosity of our Albert College community. Thanks to major gifts from donors and a record-breaking gala that raised $102,728, we quickly reached our $500,000 goal.
Read more about this transformative journey, and the impact it has had on our students, in the 2023-24 Donor Impact Report.

Middle and Senior School (Grades 7 - 12)
Each term there is a wide range of athletic opportunities - competitive, developmental and recreational. Our athletes compete regularly against teams from the Conference of Independent Schools and those in our local associations, in sports such as golf, swimming, soccer, basketball, field hockey and track and field.
