25th Anniversary Shewfelt Memorial Lecture
Please join us on Thursday, November 21 at 7:00 p.m. in the Memorial Chapel. This free lecture will shed light on athletes' rights, anti-doping and scandals at the Olympics and in the world of sport. Robert Koehler is the former Deputy Director General for the World Anti-Doping Agency. In the wake of doping scandals and relaxed treatment of sports committees, Mr. Koehler left his position as Deputy Director General to head Global Athlete, along with British cyclist Callum Skinner and eight Olympians and Paralympians. Mr. Koehler is tired of athletes being told to keep quiet and is determined to see them balance the power with sports administrators. The international advocacy group strives for change in the sporting world including better athlete welfare and anti-doping systems. Everyone is welcome to attend this free lecture.
