About Our Speaker
Albert College proudly presents Jennifer Botterill as our next Shewfelt Memorial Lecturer. Jennifer is a keynote speaker, peak performance coach, CEO, broadcaster and one of Canada’s most successful athletes.
As a 14-year member of the Canadian Women’s Hockey Team, Jennifer became a three-time Olympic Gold Medalist and Olympic Silver Medalist. She attended Harvard University, played hockey as Team Captain, and completed her degree with honours.
Jennifer is an ambassador for Right to Play and has worked with many charities including Kidsport, Children’s Wish Foundation and Hockey Canada Foundation. She is also the CEO and president of Excel in Life Inc. and Journey to Excel Inc.
In 2020, Jennifer was an in-studio analyst for NBC’s historic first all-woman broadcast team. During her broadcasting career, she has worked with TSN, MSG Networks and CBC covering Hockey Canada, the Winter Olympics and the NHL. Along with her contributions to Hockey Central as an analyst, Jennifer Botterill is now part of the Hockey Night in Canada broadcasting team.
Jennifer’s motto has been to pursue excellence in all areas of her life. From Harvard University to winning Olympic gold, she has learned many lessons on what it takes to achieve along the way.
From a no-regrets approach of “never having to say I wish I would have” to asking “why not you?”, Jennifer encourages those around her to strive for a new standard of excellence in everything they do. We are thrilled to have Jennifer's experience and motivational influence at Albert College to inspire students, staff and the public at this year’s Shewfelt Memorial Lecture.
