Fun at the Rink

As we wrapped up our final Skating Day it is always wonderful to see and marvel at the progress that can be made in such a short period of time. For many of our students, these skating days mark their first time on the ice ever or at least the first time this season. For others, it's a fun opportunity to practice and develop leadership skills by helping the novices. Skating provides an authentic opportunity for the children to demonstrate their resiliency by getting back up after a fall on the ice, followed by the grit and determination to improve. I'd like to thank the many guests who were able to attend these skating days. Your help with lace tying and the encouragement you gave from both behind the bench and out on the ice, were greatly appreciated. May you find some more time this winter to lace up and hit the ice!
